We are very particular about the products we acquire. Stone including granite, marble and quartz is carefully chosen not only for its quality, but for its color and grain. We prefer aesthetics as well as durability.

Piatra Supply provides top quality quartz surfaces, in a variety of sought after colors, from very plain solid colors to extremely fashioned with many colors and designs to meet the most high-end taste and design specifications. Our quartz materials are very stain resistant, easy to maintain with long lasting shine and luster, that are fully fabricated and installation ready.

We prefer to choose the most dramatic, unique carrara marble we can locate. We want our clients to say "Wow, that is gorgeous!"

It is equally important to make sure the base where the marble (or any stone slab) rests on be reinforced, especially around areas where sinks are placed and overhangs. In some cases, we install corbels to ensure more than adequate support.

We don't like seams, but sometimes they are inevitable. But we definitely do not put seams in the middle of a sink cutout.

Our materials are all pre-drilled for faucets, cut out for sinks, public area buffet cut outs are also provided so all you need is an installation crew to install.
We have many factories that we work with that have very short lead times, so if your project needs material quickly, we can deliver in 2 to 3 weeks if needed.

Granite is one the hardest, most durable stones available, making it desirable among builders and building owners.

A key point to consider when choosing a granite slab is the area lighting. If the area has little or no natural light, select granite that has a significant amount of white or gold, or lots of light-colored specks. Dark colors like deep blue, mahogany and black look best in areas that receive substantial light. Track and pendant lighting make good lighting options to enhance the beauty of the stone.

There are many advantages when choosing quartz for your counter tops:

• Quartz is less expensive than exotic granite. With quartz, you don't have to compromise a great look for an affordable price.

• Quartz, unlike other stone slabs, can be crafted with a controlled appearance. The way quartz slabs are produced allows the manufacturer to ensure that the slab is exactly the color, texture and pattern that you want.

• Quartz is manufactured in many colors, and the color is consistent throughout the entire slab.

• Quartz counters are made by combining 93% natural quartz stone with 7% resin binder and some colourant. This creates an extremely hard stone that is stronger that granite or marble. The slab is the same working thickness as other materials, and it is shaped, cut and finished using the same stone-cutting equipment.

• Granite and marble countertops must be sealed regularly to prevent staining and the growth of bacteria. This maintenance adds to the cost of these countertops. Quartz does not require sealing or other routine maintenance to maintain its beauty and functionality.
